Private Tutoring

In private sessions, our goal is to engage students in the process of learning by teaching them to recognize their own strengths & weaknesses. We provide students with the tools they need to tackle difficult material on their own while filling in instructional gaps they encounter in the classroom.

Students are expertly matched with one of our highly qualified educators according to their individual needs and academic goals. Whether your student is gifted, performing at grade-level, or requires extra support, we will customize an individualized plan that will optimally benefit your student.

All educators have access to California State Standards, Common Core Standards, individualized lesson plans, and educational software in our Mac Computer Lab. As educators, we understand the importance of utilizing available technology and educational platforms that students use regularly in the classroom.

Homework Club

Miss Bee’s provides a structured and supportive space for students to complete their homework after school. At homework club, we boast a 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio to ensure that homework is completed and student questions are addressed. As credentialed teachers with extensive classroom management experience, we are able to keep students on-track and focused on all pending assignments, projects, and tests. In addition to homework help, students enrolled in Homework Club have access to our Mac computers, IPads, printers, and all other school supplies.

Test Prep

Preparing for tests can cause some students to experience a significant amount of anxiety. Unfortunately, this can lead students to develop a negative relationship with school and learning. Here at Miss Bee’s, we promise to alleviate testing anxiety by 1) addressing difficult content and 2) aiding students in developing test-taking strategies and coping skills they may use in the classroom. Through private sessions and small-group workshops, we will provide your students with all necessary tools and knowledge they require to face their tests with confidence.

In addition to supporting your student’s academic assessment preparation, we specialize in ISEE and SAT test prep along with a number of high school entrance exams (COOP, TACHS and more).

We encourage each student to commit to 20 hours (ten two-hour sessions) of study prep. We can also provide your students with supplemental resources and materials to utilize at home, on their own time.

As a vendor that specializes in homeschool support, we work with parents and students to develop individualized learning programs that allow students achieve their curricular and extracurricular goals. Da Vinci Program

At Miss Bee’s, we understand that all students exhibit a unique array of gifts and challenges in learning. We also realize that curricular and extracurricular stresses can create a home-environment that is taxing on both parent and child. At Miss Bee’s, we see how collaboration between teachers, parents, and students creates a wonderful working environment outside of school and gives every student the opportunity to reach his or her potential.

Our longstanding relationship with DaVinci Innovation Academy has provided us with an intricate and well-versed knowledge of the homeschool curriculum. Our services are tailored to each student’s needs and may be offered in a small-group or one-on-one setting. Our highly qualified and credentialed teachers collaborate with parents, students, and DaVinci teachers to create an ongoing and engaging curriculum that aligns with teacher DPs and all required course content.

Our small groups meet twice a week on Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday for three hours each day. During this time, we assist students in completing all required course work while providing them the tools to develop autonomy and a passion for lifelong learning. At the conclusion of each session, students will have completed and labeled work samples for each academic subject and received a detailed session synopsis for work journal submission.

Here at Bee’s, we embody the DaVinci teaching philosophy by providing a project-based learning environment that encourages problem-solving, reasoning, and interpersonal collaboration. It is our goal to serve as an extension of the existing DaVinci Innovation Academy while alleviating homeschool stress for parents and students alike.

Summer Programs

At Miss Bee’s, we don’t want your students to forget everything they learned during the school year! We also know that the summer months can be busy for both students and parents, which is why we are open from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. During this time, we are proactive in offering students educational support and preparative instruction for the coming school-year. This is a great opportunity for your students to correct any foundational learning gaps encountered during the regular school year.

In addition to instructional support, many of our educators have developed summer camps deriving from their own unique specialties. We understand that competitive high school and college programs are concerned with the WHOLE student, and thus value extracurricular student involvement in addition to academic excellence. Give your student a competitive edge by enrolling them in one of our extracurricular summer programs.
